Wireless communication system using modulated laser light for audio transmission across open air gaps
Designed and constructed a wireless communication system that transmits text data using modulated laser light. This project demonstrated the principles of optical communication by successfully transmitting clear encrypted data across open air gaps without physical connections. The system incorporated laser modulation, photodetector circuits, a 360 degree Servo alignment system, and signal processing to achieve reliable communication. Through careful engineering of both transmitter and receiver circuits, the team created a functional demonstration of optical communication technology used in modern fiber optic and free-space optical communication systems.
